One of my favorite things to do—aside from coaching, consulting, and creating—is showing up as a podcast guest. There’s something energizing about having a real, thoughtful conversation with someone who truly gets it. That’s exactly what happened when I joined Dave Pygon on his show, Win the 16 Podcast.

Key Topics We Explored
We covered a lot in our time together. I walked away feeling inspired, encouraged, and honestly—still laughing at a few stories we shared.
The Power of Communication
One major point we discussed was the power of communication. This essential skill shapes everything we do. Whether you’re leading a team, pitching a new idea, or navigating personal relationships, effective communication is critical. It’s amazing how a few simple adjustments in how we communicate can lead to profound changes.
The Secret Weapon: Active Listening
Another vital topic was active listening. Many don’t realize that this skill is a secret weapon in both personal and professional success. When we truly listen, we can connect better with others and foster meaningful conversations. This approach not only builds trust but also encourages openness.
Overcoming Public Speaking Fear
I also shared some go-to strategies to help people conquer their fear of public speaking. It’s interesting to note that this is the #1 fear in the world—yes, even before the fear of death! Many people dread speaking in public, but with practice and the right mindset, it can become a rewarding experience.
Marriage Advice
Somehow, we even slipped in a bit of marriage advice. Communication matters at home too! Just like in other areas of life, a strong foundation of clear and open communication can enhance personal relationships. It's vital to create a safe space at home where both partners feel heard.
The Experience of Podcasting
The episode was smart, intentional, and sprinkled with just the right amount of humor. Dave truly is an excellent host. He knows how to ask engaging questions and keep the conversation flowing. It didn’t feel like an interview—it felt like chatting with an old friend with microphones on.
I genuinely love being a guest on podcasts. It’s a powerful way to connect, reflect, and share insights that hopefully help someone out there feel more confident, clear, or seen.
